Just in case you wondered who is behind this blog and what is her story here are a few facts. I am a retired stewardess/flight attendant that became an accidental artist.
I often dreamed that I painted so on this journey of retirement I took a painting class at the community college within walking distance from my house and there I began this journey at 65 years of age. In the beginning I painted from photos; however the last 2 years I have ventured into the art world of abstract.
I begin a painting with color in mind and the inspiration comes through me. I would say it is a spiritual experience that with brush or palette knife in hand loaded with oil paint on a blank canvas the painting is revealed. My hope is that my paintings will speak to the inspiration in you and take you to special place in your heart that brings you peace and joy.
A few other details about me are: I am a natural redhead who has loads of empathy, passion, hope, encouragement, and faith. I desire to inspire others no matter the season of life to take the first step to begin creating art whatever that might be.
